Best Place for Engagement Photos in Sequoia!
There’s something magical about photographing a couple who radiates pure joy, and Melissa and Brandon were exactly that. We met up at the Parker Group for their engagement session, one of my favorite spots in Sequoia National Park for couples photos. The session was a surprise proposal followed by a mini engagement session! From the second we said hiiiiii, it felt like I’d known them forever. They were both full of smiles, laughter, and such vibrant energy, it’s no wonder they chose each other!!
Golden Hour at the Parker Group
We planned their session for sunset, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The way the sun dipped behind the giant sequoia trees created the most dreamy, golden light. If you’ve ever been to the Parker Group, you know how incredible it is to stand among these massive trees while the forest glows around you. It’s one of my favorite places for Sequoia National Park engagement photos because it’s soooo naturally beautiful. This place makes you feel so small in the best way possible!
A go with the flow Engagement Session
What I loved most about Melissa and Brandon’s session was how go-with-the-flow they were. They weren’t worried about perfect poses or trying to look a certain way, they were just fully present with each other. And honestly, that’s when the real magic happens. It’s great to have a vision for your session, but when you let go of chasing that “perfect” look, you get photos that feel so much more like you.
Adventure Couples Photography in Sequoia National Park
Sequoia is one of the best places for adventure couples sessions and engagement photos because you get a mix of epic landscapes and intimate moments tucked into the trees. With Melissa and Brandon, we explored around the Parker Group, taking in all the towering giants and soft light peeking through the branches. It felt less like a photo session and more like an evening adventure with friends, which is exactly the kind of experience I love creating for my couples.
