With past experiences, I knew Memorial weekend in Sequoia would get super busy, so I suggested a sunrise proposal for the most peaceful, magical light, and I’m so thankful he trusted me!! The Magic of Sunrise for Sequoia Engagement Photos
Rich and I planned the details together, down to the timing and the best locations to keep things intimate and stress-free. He wanted a place that felt quiet and meaningful, so I suggested Beetle Rock for the big moment. The morning of, it was quiet and still, the trees glowed in the soft sunrise light, and the whole world felt like it was holding its breath, waiting for Rich to ask the big question!
A Perfect Sequoia Proposal!
When Rich dropped to one knee, Winny’s reaction was everything. Laughter and hugs, it was such a sweet moment I felt myself smiling as I pushed the shutter on my camera, photo after photo. Winny has the most contagious laugh you can’t help but smile with her! After she said yes, she pulled out a ring that she had for Rich! It was SOO sweet to see that they both had the same idea. Tell me it doesn’t get any more romantic that that!! Ahhhh!!

We then headed one of my favorite spots in Sequoia for engagement photos. The giant sequoias towered above us, and Rich and Winny couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Even when the camera wasn’t pointed at them, they were giddy, cuddling each other, and holding hands. I joked, “You two can’t be this cute when I’m taking detail shots of the ring” but of course, I still caught plenty of those moments! I explained to them that I am always here to help guide and pose my clients, but the thing about love is it doesn’t need posing.
