Panoramic Point Wedding Location:

  • 360 mountain views over looking the lake in the distance

  • 15 people maximum

  • 5 cars maximum

  • Road closed in winter due to snow


Muir Rock / Roads End Wedding Location:

  • River and forest vibes, and 360 mountain views all in one

  • 20 people maximum

  • 10 cars maximum

  • Road closed in winter due to snow- usually open from April to November

Kings Canyon Elopement Permit and Rules

For any wedding or elopement in Kings Canyon, you’ll need a special use permit through the National Park Service.'

The process is very simple:

  • Apply in advance

  • Follow Leave No Trace Princioals

  • Be mindful of rules, group sizes, and location restrictions

Best Time of Year for a Kings Canyon Elopement

Timing for your elopement here matters! This is where my local knowledge really matters.

  • Late Spring to Early Summer (May to July): The waterfalls are full everything is green. Some roads can still be closed but weather is great before it is too hot.

  • Mid Summer (July to September): Full access to all parts of the park, warm weather, best conditions

  • Fall (October): Fewer crowds, cool weather but possiblity of road closure.

  • Winter: Roads are closed

Full Day

6:00am First look at Zumwalt Meadow

7:00am Ceremony at Roads End by the river

7:45am Luxury Breakfast style picnic with family

8:30am Portraits throughout Roads End, Muir Rock

10:00-11:30am Stop along iconic view points

12:30-2:00pm-Paddle boarding on the lake

2:00-5:00 BREAK

5:00-7:30pm Hike Panoramic Point Sunset/Blue hour photos


Half Day

3:30-4:30pm First Look at Grant Grove

4:45pm Start Hike

5:30-6:00pm Ceremony at Panoramic Point
