Sequoia is a special place to Baylea and Taylor’s love story because they got engaged here!! When they had their first baby, Zeke, they knew they had to come back for their very first family photos. It only made sense to have their first moments as a family of three captured in the place that started it all for them. I mean, how amazing is that? Sequoia wasn’t just a backdrop (although the views are pretty amazing!) it was the place where their story all started. Dreamy Spots for Photos in Sequoia

Let me let you in on a little secret! When you work with a local photographer like me, I know the hidden gems. So, when Baylea reached out and sent me some photos of a location she liked, I knew exactly where to go. When I am not photographing beautiful families in the park, you can still find me exploring with a camera in my hand looking for hidden gems! This is one of my favorite spots to take photos because of the way the giant trees look so close together. The sunlight peeks through the trees at sunset in the most magical way. We spent most of our time here co-creating beautiful photographs. I started with some gorgeous photographs of the three of them together. Then I got to take the most adorable solo portraits of baby Zeke. He was the sweetest little guy and could not keep his eyes off the camera!

Once we finished up in the sequoia groves, we took a short drive to Beetle Rock. Beetle Rock is such a beautiful spot to watch the sun disappear behind the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The views from Beetle Rock are some of my FAV in the park. Being a local Sequoia National Park family photographer means I know how to work with the locations and conditions of the park.
