Sunset Bridal Portraits at Sentinel Dome | Yosemite Elopement Guide
Tay & Jenna’s bridal portraits at Sentinel Dome were nothing short of magical. They took photos in Yosemite National Park even though they were getting married elsewhere and honestly, it was the perfect decision! As the sun dipped down, warm orange light spilled across El Capitan and Three Brothers, turning the whole landscape! The way these two looked at each other, fully present and fully in love, made the whole evening feel surreal!
If you’re dreaming of a Yosemite elopement or just want wedding photos that don’t feel rushed, this is your sign to consider bridal portraits in Yosemite. You don’t have to elope in the park to capture your love here. Sessions like Tay & Jenna’s give you the best of both worlds, epic views without the pressure of a full wedding day timeline.
We met up in the early evening and made the 2.2-mile hike to the top of Sentinel Dome, one of Yosemite’s most underrated and stunning locations for portraits or elopements. It’s rated as a moderate trail, but if you’re used to hiking, it’s a total breeze!! And the views? So worth it. From the top, you get a 360-degree view of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and beyond. It’s a photographer’s dream, and honestly, one of my favorite spots in the park.
If you’re planning a Sentinel Dome elopement or just looking for a epic place to take your Yosemite wedding photos, this trail should absolutely be on your list! Sunset here is chef’s kiss!!
For couples thinking about a Yosemite elopement, here’s a quick tip: locations like Sentinel Dome require a little more effort to reach, but that’s exactly why they’re so special.
